ANNOUNCEMENT! BURPEE CHALLENGE ENDED YESTERDAY!

Yes, that’s right. The one hundred day burpee challenge has been called off at 31 days. That is enough!

Today’s WOD:

5 rounds for time:

5 bleachers

5 hang power cleans

5 push jerks

We will see how it goes.  Coach Kaye just learned she is pregnant with twins. As you can imagine she has been feeling very ill in the mornings. So we will attempt to run this WOD business as usual.  We’ll have the puke bucket near by and hopefully no one will be fighting over it.  Please don’t congratulate Kaye. She isn’t that excited about the “news.”

    Holy crap – that’s what I looked like with ONE baby…no lie! I am with you Karen, yesterday was the most sore I’ve been in a very long time…stink’n Murphy!! We can do it, we can do it, oh who am I kidding…UGH!

    Hi All!
    It’s Jor from Fremont. Once again, thanks for letting me WOD with you all. The schedule for the rest of the vacation made it so that I had to wake up around 5 a.m. and do made up WODs with bodyweight. I did the following:

    5/50 of 5/5
    which was 5 min. jump rope
    50 each of: burpees, squats, pushups, walking lunges, bfsu
    then 5 short shuttle sprints
    Took me 17:04

    next day:
    5 rds for time
    200 jump rope
    25 squats
    20 push ups
    10 star jumps
    15 bfsu
    Took 19:10, but forgot the squats on round 3 so finished with 50 more squats

    finally:
    3 rds for time
    400m run
    10 hspu
    25 burpee push ups
    25 squats
    Took 17:08

    Coach Kaye..none of these could hold a candle to the WODs I did at your box, though!

    The KB cert looked great. Can’t wait to hear from Karen about her mobility cert and both hers and Amber’s level 1s.

    Jor, seriously, you are AMAZING!! wow so cool that you push yourself to do WODs on your vacation. you are a super inspiration!! nervous about the level 1 cert ~ like you said, they ARE testing!?
    the mobility cert was super great, SO much info and SO motivating! I PR’d my dead lift with Kelly coaching me .. yippeee! Jor, how do we get in touch with you? email? FB?

    PR on the DL!! (Now isn’t that a CrossFit only kind of sentence?) That is amazing!

    From what I have seen on the videos, Kelly Starrett is amazing.

    Btw, speaking of DLs, just by chance I ran into Andrea (who I really mainly know as the CrossFit Upcountry Maui beast–I mean that in the best of all ways–who can DL 175#) at a surf contest her son was in.

    Karen, please get my e-mail address from Coach Kaye. You are welcome to contact me..please do. And don’t worry about the Level 1, you will absolutlely love it.

    Woooo Hooooo – Jor, talk about BEASTS!!! Love that you did your own wod on vacation no less…I’m looking forward to my South to North Cali – CF box visits. I too am so nervous about my Level 1, but am really feeling like I’ll be so well prepared with Kaye’s coaching, Karen’s encouragement and all the support my awesome CF friends have given me…especially LISA who introduced me to CrossFit Upcountry!
