THURSDAY SCHEDULE UPDATES:

8 A.M.: MOBILITY WITH MELISSA: Join our friend from Maui CF Extreme, Melissa, for a mobility / yoga session from 8 to 8:45 a.m. today. You will be using resistance bands to open up tight shoulders, along with other important restorative movements. Coach Josh is on the mend.

9 A.M. + 4:30 P.M.: OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING WITH COACH TOBY: Come see why this every-level weightlifting class is all the rage. Learning to lift is fun, when Toby breaks it down to easy to understand steps. The PR board is evidence of your amazing progress. Don’t miss this exciting barbell-based session!

PRE-HOLIDAY PALEO CHALLENGE SIGN-UPS!

paleo-3There’s still time to sign up for the 60-day paleo challenge, which will start Sept. 1 (some are starting on the Sept. 2 due to the holiday). Write your name and email address on the paleo signup sheet, located at the office window — by Saturday. Holley, who’s spearheading the challenge, will be connecting paleo participants in a recipe-sharing and support group. Also — we hear there may be prizes in store for the paleo winner. Winner will be determined by 1) before/after front; back; side photos; 2) inches lost at waist/hips/bust; and 3) before/after weight. We will post details in the next week. You still have a chance to commit to the challenge — all it takes is a willingness to be accountable for your personalized goal, whether a strict paleo with Whole 30 guidelines, or a decision to cut out booze and desserts (just an example) for 60 days. We will help keep you on track!
