“We are surrounded by fabulous recreational opportunities here on Maui. The thing I like most about maintaining a certain level of fitness is the rewards it pays when participating in any and all sports. The better shape you are in, the greater the enjoyment. I love to road and mountain bike, kite sail, hike and swim in the ocean. And I am excited about helping more and more people get stronger so they can get out and enjoy Maui too! Please contact me to get started!” – Coach Kaye

Coach Christie
- CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer
Christie’s CrossFit addiction officially began in the spring of 2008. From the very first workout she was hooked! Both Christie’s body and her fitness have been transformed thanks to CrossFit. This transformation is what inspired her to become a CrossFit coach. Christie received her Level One Certification in February of 2009. Since then she worked with clients at CrossFit Truckee in Truckee, CA and sharing her enthusiasm with the North Lake Tahoe community. Christie loves the kettlebell and gymnastic aspects of CrossFit and is hoping to pursue further certifications in these areas.
Christie is a native of Northern California but now considers Maui her home. Christie loves to travel and has visited 26 countries to date. Christie is also an avid tennis player, skier, mountain biker, canyoneer and and enthusiastic learner.
“Virtual Coach” Jor
- CrossFit Level I Certified
I got introduced to CrossFit quite by synchronicity in the sense that a few unrelated contacts and discussions led me to the website. I have been doing the WODs for well over a year and have realized results that reinforce the concept to me that CrossFit is a paradigm shift in thinking and doing fitness. It is the executive summary of fitness. Concise, detailed and functional. My work capacity over broad time and modal domains has grown exponentially. I found my way to CFUCM while on vacation and felt so welcomed that I have become a sort of remote member. The CFUCM led by Coach Kaye and exemplified in her members embodies the best part of the community that CrossFit generates. Everyone tries their best and that challenges me to get better as well.
