We’re so proud of our two teams, who will represent CrossFit Upcountry Maui at the fourth annual Hawaii VA Games on Labor Day at Blaisdell Arena on Oahu, hailed as the state’s largest CrossFit competition. Coaches stacked both CFUM teams evenly — and we can’t wait to compete alongside other awesome Hawaii-based groups, as the team comp requires that participants are residents of Hawaii. The individual events are invite-only and will showcase Hawaii and Mainland regional and Games competitors. Food booths, vendors and giveaways will be held. Special thanks to our athletes, who’ve trained hard to make you proud; our friends and spectators, who are flying over to cheer for us; the organizers, who answered a bunch of our questions and texts; and to each of our members who show up daily and give it everything you’ve got. Each CrossFit Upcountry member plays a vital role in the benefit of the community at large — and together, we get better. Through camaraderie. Through sweat. Through encouragement. Through teamwork. Through struggle. Through dedication. Through inspiration.
