CFUM ATHLETES ARE ALSO STUDS

It’s fun to brag about you folks. I do it a lot. We have two female pilots at our box; a handful of doctors; multiple nurses; a couple lawyers; and lots of driven and hard-working people, no matter what the vocation. Here are recent updates about two of our CFUM athletes.

Ben, a Kaiser doctor, just got back from a two-week medical mission to the Philippines. He said it was an amazing experience. Thankfully the resolution on the surgery photo is low, so we can’t enlarge it (I’m a wuss when it comes to blood). Keep up the important work, Ben! We’re proud of you!

Like Ben, Lisa has been with us from the beginning. Whenever Lisa comes to mind, I think of how she’s great at deadlifts and she has a smile that brightens up the room. What I didn’t know is that she’s an undercover superstar. She has over two decades of professional singing, and she’s performed in many Maui productions (the photo above is from “The Wizard of Oz”). Her role in Maui OnStage’s “La Cage aux Folles,” which is playing this weekend, was praised by a recent Maui News article. AND — Lisa was just nominated to Advisory Board Leadership Council for the National Academy Foundation, which sounds like a very big deal based on how many words are in the title. Gabby sent us this article: Maui’s Paulson Nominated to National Board. We’re so amazed with you, Lisa! Congratulations on all of your accomplishments!

I was warned not to post about Kristina’s birthday today (Friday). But I can’t help myself. Sorry, Kristina. I’ll save all the sap for a card, but you will have to deal with these photos and small shoutout. We love you. Being a CFUM Original, you are definitely one of our “favorites.” Hope your day was filled with joy — you deserve every bit of it!
