Deadlifts and dumbells, oh my! Wed., Oct 6

We are setting some benchmarks this week! Monday we tackled the bench press. Pretty much everyone set new PRs. So here we go… Deadlifts!

Don’t be intimidated. We need to know your 1 rep max in all the lifts to determine how to scale the WODs. Leave our ego at the door. Let’s get serious!

Huge Mahalo to the man behind the box. I simply could not be where I am without the support of my husband. Lance attended the new 9:00 AM class Tuesday. Lisa, Chelsea and Andrea lapped him before he finished the second lap. Lance just took his time. He doesn’t get the high intensity part yet. But he felt really good about completing five rounds. Thank you Lance!

So… Wednesday’s workout is……

Get a true deadlift 1 rep max.

Then….. the WOD. 10=9=8=7=6=5=4=3=2=1

Deadlift (50% 1 rep max)
Box jumps (24″)
Push ups
Knees to elbows
