Here are the preliminaries…

Fall Turkey Trimming – A six week nutrition & activity challenge!
Starts: Monday, Oct 24
Ends: Monday, Nov 21
Entry Fee: $10

The fall turkey trimming challenge will begin this Monday after you have all had a day or so to let Kinsey’s Saturday nutrition talk sink in. This challenge is two-fold: Its a combination of healthy eating and working out – aka playing!

You will be awarded points on a daily basis for achieving great nutrition and for your activities. If you skip a healthy eating day a point or two will be deducted. But not to worry, you can rack up lots of points by working out more!  The person who has accrued the most points at the end of six weeks wins – both glory and admiration AND a prize!

Here are the category details:
1) Healthy eating: In this category you have the ability to earn up to two points each day.  One point for not eating gluten & sugar and another point for following the Zone diet, Paleo, or both. These points will be awarded on the honor system, however, we have the right to ask to see your food log at any time! One point can be deducted from either category or both depending on your eating.
2) Daily Activity: Here you also can earn up to two points a day. One point per WOD and one point for any extra-curricular activity ie. surfing, biking, swimming, running etc. And no, cleaning house doesn’t count! For days that you simply don’t work out, no points will be deducted however, no points will be accrued.
3) Bonus Points = SLEEP! Add one point if you get eight full hours of sleep at night.

Things are getting crazy at the box. Sheila took measures to stake out her pull up spot and Andrea and Lisa followed suit. It worked! But let this be a reminder to get in the habit of signing up on line. We may have to cap the class sizes soon.
