>> new mobility class this thursday.

You have two options: Choose to do mobility work ahead of time; or be forced to do it when your body starts to protest via tightness or injury.

We give you lots of options to work on mobility at CFUM; but we’re most excited about the new one that will launch at 9 a.m. Thursday — MOB WOD with Josh Siefman.

Josh, a Kula resident, received his CrossFit Movement and Mobility Trainer certificate last year after completing the specialty course, led by physical therapist and mobility master Kelly Starrett. The sought-after class focused on resolving pain, preventing injury and optimizing athletic performance.

At CFUM on alternating Thursdays, Josh will lead participants through various movements with resistance bands, foam rollers and lacrosse balls. The first half hour of class will be guided; the second half will give members a chance to go over specific points of tension with Josh, as time permits.

Josh has his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science. He holds USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Specialist and CrossFit Olympic Lifting certifications and successfully completed the Jon North Attitude Nation and Norik Vardanian Olympic Lifting seminars.

We’re stoked to roll out this new class (pun intended). Welcome Josh and his crazy miracle mobility work on Thursday!
